Resettlement Action Plans (RAP)
Compliant with IFC Performance Standard 5

Some projects, particularly those in extractives and infrastructure, require resettlement of individuals or entire communities. This requires the development, implementation and monitoring of a bankable Resettlement Action Plan (RAP). RAPS that comply with IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles typically exceed host country regulations. Poorly designed RAPs are a frequent source of financing delays and reputational damage (not to mention endless management headaches associated with due diligence and monitoring by independent engineers). The presence of indigenous people, artisanal miners, opportunistic squatters, poorly defined land titling, and overlapping customary ownership processes can further complicate resettlement planning. Prizma can assist with the development, fine-tuning, training, implementation and monitoring of 'bankable' RAPs and reduce potential for project and financing delays.
