Since 2007, this continuously updated course has been successfully delivered 15 times, including in Canada, China, Panama, Peru, and the UK.
“I took Mehrdad's short course on the Equator Principles and International Finance standards for the resource sector in 2009. The course was well delivered, relevant and provided an excellent overview of the topic with case studies to encourage discussion amongst the course participants.” Jennifer Hooper, VP Sustainability, Vale
Sustainability Reporting using GRI
The prevalence of sustainability reporting is growing and has converged around the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the world’s most widely used framework. Prizma, a licensed AA1000 Assurance Provider, developed the first GRI-certified training program in North America. Prizma's lead GRI trainer, Mehrdad Nazari, is an experienced sustainability reporter, a GRI-approved trainer and has successfully delivered over a dozen GRI-certified training courses across Canada and the USA. Tailored, in-house workshops are also available upon request.
“Mehrdad helped guide which was a lengthy, in depth, and new process for our company. Reporting on our corporate social responsibility is something we as an organization hadn't done in five years. He helped guide us through the process and forced us to think about our processes and efforts differently. With his commitment and leadership we produced a report that was concise, honest, organized, and utilized GRI reporting standards. His knowledge of the CSR space overall was quite the asset in developing our report. I would definitely recommend Mehrdad for any CSR report, as his knowledge is vast and experiences varied.” Steven Michalovich, Senior Specialist at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company
“Mehrdad led the Sustainability Reporting with GRI course offered through LEAD Canada. He was a wealth of information and provided hands-on guidance to those of us who were new to sustainability reporting. Through his excellent teaching and ability to deliver clear, concise interpretations of reporting principles and industry best practices, I was able to confidently make recommendations directly related to my position. I look forward to working with Mehrdad in the future and highly recommend him as a valuable resource for any work associated with Sustainaibility Reporting and/or the GRI.” Beth Martin , CSR Specialist , Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation
